For partners of men who have experienced sexual abuse or assault
Here at Living Well we run support groups for partners of men who have experienced childhood sexual abuse, or adult sexual assault.
These are casual, support discussion evenings, without a set program. The sessions are usually attended by four to eight women and two counsellors, and go for around two hours. You do not have to sign up to attend a series of groups. Just come when you can, and if the group suits your needs.
Most people report feeling greatly supported by talking with others who understand some shared issues, and therefore not feeling so isolated and alone.
The Living Well partners groups are being held as needed. The exact time of the group and the location varies according to those most interested to attend at the time, and we try to meet the needs of most people this way.
Presently the groups are meeting regularly, generally around every 6-8 weeks. Please contact us if this would interest you.
Groups are held in a meeting room at the Indooroopilly Anglican Church. This location has evening street parking and is close to the railway station.
Please note that we are always open to starting up another group elsewhere according to need.
